what I have here are raw shrimp and I'm using raw because we're going to marinate these if they're already precooked the marinade won't penetrate the Flesh of the shrimp and you want more flavor and this is all done in about 20 minutes so I typically get raw that have been shelled and deveined and cleaned right and the tail on the tail off hello Oliver I'm busy and we'll just discard those you can do the same for a broth or what not but I'm just going to discard him so we will Penn State score shrimp taking off the tails are all taken off what we're going to do next is make the marinade let me rinse my hands first I let's make that marinade will start off with four cloves of garlic

we're going to trim the ends and then strip away any that leaves sliced on the diagonal in those are going to be put on top before serving all right now for the fun part we're going to cook up the shrimp so we'll get this pan going super hot will add some oil and what we'll do is we'll take the shrimp out of the marinade 1 minute on each side and take the shrimp out setting aside but the marinade in cook it reduce get so nice and thick and the shrimp back and toss to coat serve it up okay that's it for me guys I hope you enjoyed my honey garlic shrimp and don't forget Life's too short to be Bland see you next time

THE BEST OTHER RECIPE OF 20 Minute Honey Garlic Shrimp

Ingredients

1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce (I use reduced sodium)
1 Tablespoon jarred minced garlic or 2 teaspoons fresh*
optional: 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
1 lb medium uncooked shrimp, peeled & deveined
2 teaspoons olive oil
optional: chopped green onion for garnish

Instructions

First, Whisk the honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger (if using) together in a medium bowl.

Second, Place shrimp in a large zipped-top bag or tupperware. Pour 1/2 of the marinade mixture on top, give it all a shake or stir, then allow shrimp to marinate in the refrigerator for 15 minutes or for up to 8-12 hours. Cover and refrigerate the rest of the marinade for step 3. (Time-saving tip: while the shrimp is marinating, I steamed broccoli and microwaved some quick brown rice.)

Third, Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place shrimp in the skillet. (Discard used marinade.) Cook shrimp on one side until pink– about 45 seconds– then flip shrimp over. Pour in remaining marinade and cook it all until shrimp is cooked through, about 1 minute more.

Serve shrimp with cooked marinade sauce and a garnish of green onion. The sauce is excellent on brown rice and steamed veggies on the side.
